Old Kilpatrick

Old Kilpatrick is a village in Dunbartonshire, on the north bank of the River Clyde and at the foot of the Kilpatrick Hills. There is a legend that this was the birthplace of St Patrick.

The village marks the western end of the Antonine Wall, which the Romans built from the Clyde to the Forth. Today it stands immediately to the north of the Forth and Clyde Canal and on the Great Western Road. (Read more)
