Gillingham, Dorset Gillingham is a town in the Blackmore Vale of Dorset, and the most northerly town in the county. The town’s station is a principal stop is on the railway between London and Exeter. Neighbouring hamlets included Peacemarsh, Bay and Wyke, which have now however become part of Gillingham as it expanded. John Constable's painting of the old town bridge is in the Tate Gallery.
