ChelmsfordChelmsford is the county town of Essex. It was granted Letters Patent in 2012 to become a city, in celebration of Her Majesty's Diamond Jubilee of that year. In the middle of Essex, Chelmsford is still part of the London commuter belt, equidistant between London and Colchester.
