Carnlough Harbour, County Antrim

Carnlough Carnlough is a coastal village in County Antrim with a picturesque harbour on the shores of Carnlough Bay. It is a small seaside resort, 14 miles north of Larne, to which it is joined by the gorgeous Coast Road which runs along the shore of the North Channel. The village stands at the foot of Glencloy, the second of the nine Glens of Antrim, above which stand mountains and moorland. The Carnlough River off the slopes of Big Trosk and Little Trosk, flows down into the harbour. The harbour is used by pleasure boats and small fishing boats while inland a footpath following the track of the former mineral tramway, which ran over the road to the harbour, takes walkers up to the Cranny Falls.
