Berrington Hall, Herefordshire

Berrington Hall

Berrington Hall is a country house in Herefordshire, about three miles north of Leominster. During the 20th century it was the seat of the Cawley family.

The house is of neoclassical style, a fine country house designed by Henry Holland in 1778-81 for Thomas Harley. It has a somewhat austere exterior, but the interiors are subtle and delicate. Since 1957 the house and gardens have belonged to the National Trust and are opened to the public. (Read more)
