Bamburgh

Bamburgh is a large and ancient village on the coast of Northumberland. Once the capital of a kingdom, today it has a population of fewer than five hundred souls.

The village is dominated by the imposing Bamburgh Castle, seat of the Kings of Northumbria of old, overlooking the town's long, sandy beach looking out over the North Sea. (Read more)
