Achduart

Achduart is a speck of a hamlet in Coigach, the mountainous district of Cromartyshire on the Atlantic coast. It is situated about two and a half miles south-east of the village of Achiltibuie, at the end of a minor road, the track of which continues as a footpath.

The name of Achduart comes from the Gaelic for "the field at the black headland". (Read more)
