Which county?

What's this wiki's policy on areas that were transferred by the Counties (Detached Parts) Act of 1844? C.f. this article and Lindisfarne. --Inops (talk) 17:25, 30 October 2015 (UTC)

The Historic Counties Standard allows detached parts to be treated as both the parent county and the host county. When I edit articles I tend to use the "county 1" and "county 2" fields in the town infoboxes to indicate both counties. Owain (talk) 18:37, 30 October 2015 (UTC)
