Sugarloaf Hill is in the northern part of the Malvern Hills and lies between the Worcestershire Beacon and North Hill in the range of Malvern Hills that runs approximately 8 miles north-south along or close to the Herefordshire-Worcestershire border.
The summit of Sugarloaf Hill is at an elevation of 1,207 feet and is a popular summit usually passed by walkers hiking between the Worcestershire Beacon and North Hill: respectively the highest and second-highest of the Malvern Hills summits.
The name of the hill may seem unusual but it is shared with others in Britain and Ireland, including Sugarloaf in Monmouthshire (and even a Sugarloaf Mountain in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil). It is believed to be given from the resemblance of the hill to a sugarloaf.
