Stonegate is a tiny village in Sussex, two miles south-west of Ticehurst, and four miles form the border of Kent.
Stonegate railway station is a mile south-west of the village itself.
The village church, St Peter, is a brick-built church, built in 1904 in the Arts & Crafts style by Granville Edward Stewart Streatfeild. The church is a Grade II listed building.[1] The parish is today part of the Benefice of Wadhurst, Ticehurst and Stonegate.[2]
