| Information | |
St Catherine's Chapel is a ruined chantry chapel which stands on St Catherine's Hill outside Guildford in Surrey. The hill takes its name from the chapel.
The chapel, now a scheduled ancient monument and a Grade I listed structure.[1] stands on top of the hill. It was built in the early 14th century by the rector of St Nicholas Church in Guildford, Richard de Wauncey, and may have been a chapel of ease to the parish.

The hill and chapel were depicted by the artist J. M. W. Turner (1775–1851), with engravings including some in the Tate Gallery.[2][3]
