South Ambersham is a hamlet in Sussex (technically Hampshire detached, locally situate in Sussex). It lies 2 miles east of Midhurst, just over half a mile south of the A272 road.
It is in the valley of the River Rother, in the meadows on the south bank of the river. The village is a small farming village.
South Ambersham’s Hampshire connection is as a tithing of the parish of Steep in that county.
