Sotan is the highest hill on the wee island of Barra Head, the southernmost of the chain of the Outer Hebrides, and one of the remote isles of Inverness-shire.
Barra Head, or Berneray, is a rocky island of forbidding cliffs. Sotan reaches 633 feet, and is sufficiently high to be listed as a "Marilyn".
