Smallridge is a hamlet on the borders of Devon and Dorset. The hamlet is situated about a mile north of the town of Axminster. It is close to the A358 road, and is within the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
It used to have a village pub, however this is now a 'country hotel' restaurant, The Ridgeway Inn.
All Saints Church is situated in the Dorset part of the village and is Grade-II listed. It was consecrated 23 April 1840 and served most of the South Tything of the parish of Chardstock in Dorset, together with Smallridge from the parish of Axminster in Devon before becoming an ecclesiastical parish in its own right.
