Shanbally is a small village located in the south-east County Cork, on the N28 road. Here there is a church, a primary school, a single pub and a shop. The village is located close to Ringaskiddy, Monkstown and Carrigaline.
The local Roman Catholic church is the church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
The name 'Shanbally' is from the Irish An Seanbhaile, meaning "the old town/homestead".[1]
