Saundby is a village in Nottinghamshire two miles west of Gainsborough.

The parish is bordered on one side by the River Trent.

The village church, St Martin of Tours, was extensively restored in 1885.[1]

The name ‘Saundby’ is of Danish origin, as it contains the Scandinavian suffix ‘by’.
