Saul is a village in Gloucestershire, at the site of the junction of the Stroudwater Navigation and the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal. It is in the civil parish of 'Fretherne with Saul'.
The 'Fretherne Saul & Framilude Village Hall & Playing Field' has been enrolled as a Queen Elizabeth II Field, an initiative for public playing fields to celebrate Her Majesty's Diamond Jubilee in 2012.
William John Westwood, the 36th Bishop of Peterborough, was born in Saul.
