Ryder Glacier is found in Palmer Land in the British Antarctic Territory, flowing westwards into George VI Sound between Gurney Point and Christie Peaks.

The glacier was surveyed by the British Graham Land Expedition in October 1936 and further surveyed by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey from Stonington Island in the 1948-49 season.

The glacier is named after Captain Robert Edward Dudley Ryder of the Royal Navy (1908-86), who as Lieutenant commanded the British Graham Land Expedition's ship Penola and who, on 28 March 1942, commanded the Royal Navy force in the St Nazaire Raid, for which action he was awarded the Victoria Cross. (Captain Ryder's brother, who also served aboard the Penola and who fell in action in France, has Ryder Bay named after him.)
