Lamerton is a small village in Devon, in the very west of the county, three miles north-west of Tavistock.

There is a church, dedicated to St Peter, a pub, The Blacksmith's Arms, and a string of houses, the whole surrounded by farmland and pasture.

Lamerton is split into two barely separated areas; Lamerton itself, or 'Lamerton Village', tumbles up and down the sides of the valley of the little River Lumburn, in a knot around the church, the school and the manor house. Lamerton Green, where stands the pub, is strung along the road from Tavistock to Launceston. The top of the village is known as Hilltown.

Close by the parish church is a thirteenth-century Priest's House, restored in 1934. Associated with the church is the village school, Lamerton Church of England Voluntary Controlled Primary School.
