The River Drumagh above Omagh

The River Drumragh is one of the rivers of Tyrone which meet in the county town, Omagh. Drumragh is also the name of the surrounding townland and of the local Gaelic football team.

A small river known as the Quiggery Water flows through Fintona, with bridges crossing it at Kiln Street and Mill Street. This river then joins with the Ballynahatty Water to form the Drumragh River.[1]

Omagh stands where the Camowen and Drumragh Rivers meet to form the River Strule.[2]

Angling

The River Drumragh has excellent trout fishing over its entire length.[3] The Drumragh is a noted brown trout river with good feeding allowing the trout to grow faster and larger.[2]
