Resurgent Island is a small island, of just an acre and a quarter in the British Indian Ocean Territory. It is barely more than a rock platform but still supports some plant life. It lies in the line of the Three Brothers, by the edge of the Great Chagos Bank, between Middle Brother and South Brother.
The island is named after HMS Resurgent, which led the Joint Services Expedition to Danger Island in 1975.
