'Redford is a little hamlet in the south-west of [[County Durham], found within the Hamsterley Forest, on the Beeburn Beck (which flows east to the River Wear five miles downstream of Redford).
The hamlet is at the end of a dead-end land running up from Weardale, known as Forest Drive, though Forest Drive continues up through the forest as a track.
