Rabbit Island is one of the Hummock Island Group in King George Bay, on the west coast of West Falkland, in the Falkland Islands. It lies almost three miles north-west of Hummock Island and about three and a half miles west of Roy Cove.
The island is roughly rectangular, about three-quarters of a mile square, with a long promontory extending south-eastwards. The island slopes gently to the east and has very steep slopes up to 200 feet facing north and west, with highest points of about 300 feet. It has been heavily grazed by sheep in the past, though probably not since about 1986. An old shanty remains in a valley on the island, though torn at by the wind. The presence of rats was confirmed in 2000/01.[1]
