Point Purvis is a headland lying one nautical mile south-west of Tonsberg Point in Husvik Harbour, South Georgia.

The point was charted by Discovery Investigations in 1928 and named after Petty Officer J. Purvis of the Royal Navy (from whom the Purvis Glacier is also named), a member of the Discovery Investigations hydrographic survey party in this area in the motorboat Alert in 1928-30.
