Panzarini Hills
The Panzarini Hills are a group of hills within the Argentina Range of the Pensacola Mountains in Queen Elizabeth Land, in the British Antarctic Territory. The highest of these hills rises to 3,035 feet on Mount Spann. They are in the north of the Argentina Range and including, from north to south, Mount Spann, Areta Rock, Arcondo Nunatak, Suárez Nunatak, Giró Nunatak, Mount Ferrara and Vaca Nunatak.
The hills were surveyed from the ground on the United States Geological Survey Pensacola Mountains Project, 1965-66, and photographed from the air by the United States Navy in 1967. They were named after Contra-Almte Rodolfo N.M. Panzarini of the Argentine Navy, who commanded the Argentine Antarctic Expedition of 1950-51, and 1952-53; Director, Instituto Antártico Argentino, 1958-68; Vice-President, SCAR, 1965-68.
