Olsen Rock rises to 60 feet above sea-level, lying in the sea 760 yards south-east of Cape Paryadin at the north-west extremity of South Georgia.

The rock was named following the South Georgia Survey after Sören Olsen (b. 1890), gunner of the South Georgia Whaling Company, 1926-30, 1933-39 and 1945-53.
