Nyewood is a hamlet in the west of Sussex, sitting in the Western Rother valley. The village is on an unclassified road between Rogate and South Harting.

In former times it was also an intermediate station on the Midhurst Railway, known as the 'Middy', a rural railway line that ran between Petersfield in Hampshire and Midhurst.[1]

Despite its small size the area supports some notable businesses including Ballard's independent brewery whose hallmark brew is named after the hamlet.[2]

Society

  • Henry Warren Village Hall: the village hall, managed by 'The Nyewood Nye' committee
