Nurney is a village in County Kildare, on the Tully Stream.

The name of the village is from the Irish An Urnaí, meaning "Oratory" of "Prayer house".

In 2006, Nurney's population was recorded at 354, an increase of 48% from 2002 owing to an influx of settlers from Dublin, which is some 37 miles away.

The village has a church, a pub, a school, a shop and two graveyards. A petrol station opened in the village in recent times.
