Newbigging is a tiny hamlet in Roxburghshire, at the end of a dead-end lane south of Oxnam. The Newbigging Burn runds through here, just before joining in the Oxnam Water.
At the east edge of the hamlet rises a hill known just as the Law, with a summit at 942 feet marked with a trig point. Around the summit are the earthworks of a hill fort.
