Hutton is a hamlet (and associated parish) in Cumberland, some six miles west of Penrith, on the Dacre Beck. The parish contains a number of even smaller hamlets, and the small mansion and former pele tower at Hutton John, the seat of the Hudleston family. By the time of the 2011 census the parish (under the name 'New Hutton') had a population of 348.

Within the Parish of Hutton are Hutton itself and Hutton John just up the lane to the west on a minor beck, the location of a noted country house. The parish also includes the larger village of Penruddock to the north-west of Hutton and the hamlets of Troutbeck and Beckces. Whitbarrow holiday village is also within the parish.
