New Frankley is a swollen, new village in northern Worcestershire, part of the Black Country. It has been absorbed into the civic boundaries of nearby Birmingham but preserves a tenuous form of autonomy; from the year 2000 until 2016 it was the only parish council within the city's administrative area, until the resurrection of Sutton Coldfield town council.
According to the 2001 census the parish had a population of 7,890.
The village borders Frankley parish to the north, which has open fields amongst its hamlets, while the almost unbroken townscape of Birmingham stretches off to the east. New Frankley is part of this conurbation, if at its edge.
