Muckamore is a village and townland sitting just to the south of Antrim, in County Antrim, inland from the eastern shore of Lough Neagh. It sits on the south bank of the Six Mile Water.
The village is within the Parish of Grange of Muckamore, which extends from here to the lough shore at Balloo.
The village as seen today is a modern development, though older buildings from Muckamore as a country parish are still there to be found.
The name of the village is from the old Gaelic language, Maigh Chomair meaning Plain of the confluence', which refer to the low ground stretching out form where the Six Mile Water meets Lough Neagh.
The Muckamore Abbey Hospital (on a site larger than the village) stands to the south.
