Mount Whillans is one of the Anderson Hills, part of the Patuxent Range of the Pensacola Mountains in Queen Elizabeth Land, in the British Antarctic Territory. Its summit is at 2,850 feet, four nautical miles south-west of Mount Stroschein.
This mountain was named after Dr Ian Morley Whillans (b. 1944), Canadian glaciologist with the United States Antarctic Research Program, 'Palmer Station', winter 1967, and with the United States Antarctic Research Program in subsequent seasons; Professor of Geology, University of Ohio, from 1977.
