Mount Ness is one of the north-easterly group of the Batterbee Mountains of Palmer Land in the British Antarctic Territory. It climbs to a summit at about 6,200 feet above sea level.
The mountain was photographed from the air by Ellsworth on 23 November 1935. It was surveyed from the ground by the British Graham Land Expedition in October 1936. Following a further survey by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey from 'Stonington Island', in1948-49, this mountain was named after E. Wilhelmina (Mrs Patrick) Ness (d. 1962), who contributed towards the cost of the British Graham Land Expedition.
