Mount Hector is a snow-clad mountain of 7,300 feet in the southern part of the Trojan Range on Anvers Island in the Palmer Archipelago of the British Antarctic Territory. It stands between the range's highest mountain, Mount Français, and Mount Priam.
The mountain was surveyed by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey in 1955.
Mount Hector was named by the UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee for Hector, son of King Priam and the mightiest warrior of the Trojan army in Homer's Iliad. It is named in a scheme with the other mountains of the Trojan Range after heroes of Troy as recounted by Homer (as the mountains of the adjacent Achaean Range are named after the Greek heroes of the Trojan War).
