Mount Ethelred is a mountain of 8,104 feet in the Douglas Range in the north-east of Alexander Island in the British Antarctic Territory.

The mountain was probably seen from the air by the British Graham Land Expedition on 13 March 1936 and it was roughly surveyed from the ground by that expedition from George VI Sound in October-November 1936. It was resurveyed by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey from Stonington Island in 1948-49.

The mountain is named after King Ethelred I, King of the West Saxons and Kentishmen 866-71; it is one of a series of mountains in the range named after kings of the House of Wessex.
