Mount Egbert is a mountain in the Douglas Range in the north-east of Alexander Island in the British Antarctic Territory. It rises to 9,498 feet, making it the highest in the range (and on the island) after Mount Stephenson (10,171 feet).
The mountain was seen from the air and surveyed from the ground on its east side by the British Graham Land Expedition in 1936-37, and re-surveyed by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey from Stonington Island in December 1948.
The mountain is named after King Egbert of Wessex, King of England 827-39; one of a series of mountains in the range named after kings of the House of Wessex.
