Mount Athelstan is a mountain of 5,300 feet in the Douglas Range in the north-east of Alexander Island in the British Antarctic Territory. It stands to the north of the Trench Glacier.
The mountain was photographed from the air by Ellsworth on 23 November 1935 and was roughly surveyed by the British Graham Land Expedition in 1936. It was resurveyed by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey from Stonington Island in 1948-49.
The mountain is named after King Athelstan; one of a series of mountains in the range named after kings of the House of Wessex.
