Loughguile is a small village in County Antrim, which is to be found eight miles east of Ballymoney, at the edge of the Antrim Hills. It had a population of 396 people (in 128 households) recorded at the 2011 Census.
The village's name is derived from the Irish Loch gCaol, meaning "Thin lake". The name is also spelled 'Loughgiel' or 'Loughgeel'.
