Laeca Burn

Laeca Burn is a stream in north-eastern Aberdeenshire, on the county's broad, fertile coastal plain, running south to join the Water of Cruden (which enters the sea soon after at Cruden Bay). Though running through a largely level landscape, the burn itself lies within a steep-sided ravine in a lower stage.
There are numerous archaeological sites in the Laeca Burn watershed, "especially on the eastern side of Laeca Burn", where Catto Long Barrow, or Cairn Catto is found.[1]
