The Kilchrenan Inn dominates the heart of the village

Kilchrenan is a small village and ancient parish in the Lorn district of Argyllshire. Together with Dalavich to the south-west it forms the civil parish of Kilchrenan and Dalavich. The village is located near to the end of the B845 road, about a mile inland from Loch Awe.

In the ancient burial ground of Kilchrenan is a monument erected by the eighth Duke of Argyll in memory of his ancestor Cailean Mor (Great Colin), "slain on the Streang of Lorne, A.D. 1294".
