Inworth is a small village and ancient parish in the hundred of Lexden in Essex, near to Tiptree. Together with Messing it forms the civil parish of Messing-cum-Inworth.
The place-name 'Inworth' is first attested in the Curia Regis Rolls of 1206, where it appears as Inewrth. The name means 'Ina's homestead'.[1]
All Saints' Church dates from the 11th century and is a Grade-I listed building.[2]
