Ideford is a village in Devon, five miles north of Newton Abbot. It is close to its neighbouring village of Luton. To the west of the village runs the A380 dual carriageway and to the east is Luton and Teignmouth Golf Course.

Luton sits in a valley and is known for its picturesque landscape, while Ideford half a mile to the north-west in a less prominent dip, has the more ancient parish church. The two share a vicar.

The parish church of Ideford is St Mary The Virgin, a church with a pinnacled, square tower, typical of Devon. Its parish, between the rivers Exe and Teign, consists of the main village of Ideford with outlying hamlets of Olchard, Ideford Combe and Hestow

The village pub is the Royal Oak

Also here there is Ideford Village Hall and the Millennium Green, on which stands the well known Ideford Oak.
