Huntshaw is a village in the north of Devon, found two and a half miles north of Great Torrington.

The name Huntshaw is thought locally to originate from Old English words for 'Honey Wood'.</ref> Huntshaw is recorded in the Domesday Book as Huneseue.[1]

In 2001 the population of the civil parish of Huntshaw was just 120, but it had been 143 in 1901 and 212 in 1801.

The parish church of St Mary Magdalene is Grade II* Listed.

About the village

Huntshaw Cross Transmitting Station stands on a hill above the village.

The manor house is Huntshaw Barton.[2]

Huntshaw Mill Bridge on the river here, a late-18th century or early 19th century slatestone rubble bridge, is Grade II listed.[3]
