Horror Rock

Horror Rock lies four miles to the west of South West Point, a headland of Annenkov Island, off South Georgia.

The rock was so named from its unexpected discovery on 21 February 1961 when HMS Owen narrowly avoided hitting the rock in rough weather and poor visibility.
