Helford is a village in Cornwall, standing on the south bank of the Helford River some five miles south-southwest of Falmouth. Its name is from the Cornish Heyl, meaning estuary.
The village has a pub, a village shop, and a sailing club.
A pedestrian ferry operates daily from Easter to October between Helford and Helford Passage.[1]
Helford lies within the "Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty", though almost a third of Cornwall has such a designation.
