Hawkley is a village in Hampshire, three and a half miles north of Petersfield, to the west of the A3 road and close to the border of Sussex.
The village in an area of outstanding natural beauty, with the Hangers Way running through. By the village is Hawkley Warren, an important nature site.
The parish church is St Peter and St Paul Church - a distinctive church with a tower capped with a 'Rhenish helm'. It was built in 1865, on the site of a medieval church, designed in a Neo-Norman style. The church is a Grade II* listed building.[1]
The church and Hawkley Hurst house, were both designed by celebrated architect Samuel Sanders Teulon.[2]
