Ham is a tiny hamlet that forms the main population centre of Foula, Shetland's most remote inhabited island. It in noted on Ordnance Survey maps in the Shetland dialect as 'Da Toon o Ham'.
The hamlet is scattered along a small road and a burn ('Da West Burn') which falls into the sea in a minor inlet known as Ham Voe (or locally 'Da Voe'). Passenger ferries sail from here to Scalloway and to Walls in the summer.
The island's school is here too.
