Freswick is a small, remote hamlet in the parish of Canisbay. It stands along the A99, close to the eastern coast of the county, a little south of John o' Groats, overlooking Freswick Bay and the North Sea.
Freswick Castle is a tower house in the village, on the shoreline.
The village of Skirza lies directly to the north-east.
