Information

Flamingo Pond is a wetland nature reserve on the island of North Caicos, near Whitby, and within the Turks and Caicos Islands. It is run by the Turks and Caicos National Trust.

The pond is surrounded by dense mangroves, and here large numbers of famingoes gather and can be observed from the ‘Flamingo Pond Outlook’ provided by the Trust, though reaching the water’s edge through the mangroves can be tiresome. The overlook is along the side of Whitby Highway, the main road along the north side of North Caicos.
